Most Ultramatic and Twin Ultramatic users I know of use Type F which is easy to get at Auto Zone and other parts stores. My Ultramatic rebuilder who has a solid reputation for rebuilding these units and just did my 56 Twin Ultramatic uses Type F. I've used Type FA in a pinch to top off without problems.
