WebbVIIRS nighttime lights imagery that has been distributed since 2012 by The Earth Observations Group (EOG) at NOAA/NGDC, and is produced as monthly or annual averages. The data is available as mosaics that have been post-processed (i.e., to remove clouds, stray light and lunar illumination). WebbClouds affect both the intensity and the location of lights in DNB imagery by reducing the intensity of the lights and blurring the spatial detail of the light features (Baugh et al. 2013).
