The club was founded in 1963 with 500 members who paid 5 guineas a year for life membership of the club. 69 founder members were alive at the time of the club's 2024 move to 46 Berkeley Square. The original members continue to pay £5 a year to the present day. In 2005 Annabel's had 9000 members with membership fees of £750 a year (equivalent to £1,191 in 2024).
