WebKofi Awoonor was a Ghanaian poet and literary critic who also worked as a professor. He later served as an ambassador for Ghana. His poetry collections include Rediscovery and Other Poems, Night of My Blood, Ride Me, Memory, and The House by the Sea. He died in an attack on a shopping mall in Kenya in 2013.
