WebExperiences high-altitude hiking while pregnant? I'll keep this short and sweet. I plan to climb an 11,000 ft peak on Nov. 20th. I'll be about 20 weeks along. I do not live at elevation, so I'm not generally adjusted. I will sleep at 8500 feet the two nights before and the night after- the ascent itself is a 13 mile round trip- 6.5 up and 6.5 down. WebThere are plenty of hikes with lower elevations and even some paved trails. There is also beaches nearby for days we just want to hang out and relax. I am an experienced hiker, but I've yet to hike while pregnant. I am realistic about my pregnancy and limits.
