Stately cottonwood trees, some over 100 years old, shade much of the camping area. Fort Kearny SRA offers two campgrounds, East and West. WebMain campground (82 sites) is on the south east side of the lake. The campground is shady and located close to shower facilities. It also has a sandy beach area and plenty of picnic areas.
